Penang Museum and Art Gallery
Located at Lebuh Farquhar, the Penang Museum and Art Gallery houses old photographs, maps, charts and historical relics. It was built in 1821 and was formerly the Penang Free School. Opens: 9am-5pm (Daily) On Fridays, closed between 12.15pm -2.45pm

Penas Cultural Centre
Located inside 1-Stop Midlands Park Shopping centre itself, this gallery is famous for its exotic chinese paintings. Entry is free of charge. Opens daily from 11am to 8pm.

The Art Gallery
This art gallery has a wide variety of reasonably priced creations by local and foreign artists. Although it is still a commercial-motivated gallery, visitors are almost certainly welcomed. Belissa Row, Burma Road. Opens daily from 11am to 6pm.
