  Shaik Dawood    It all happened back in the 1940's, when the late Shaik Dawood from Keelakarai of South India, opened the doors at Queen Street, Penang to the splendour of spices and exotic taste of curries. There and then history was made.

    After a few decades, the building was rebuilt on the same spot to serve their customers better. It is now managed by Syed Aliar, the founder's eldest son. Furthermore, they alway try to improve the quality of their food to suit your taste buds and appetite. Some of their many specialities are the Chicken Briyani Rice, Chicken Kapitan, Roasted Chicken, Fried Chicken, Mutton Kurma, Duck Sammah and Curry Fish Head.

   Besides, Dawood Restaurant also has the capability of hosting your everyday functions and occasions. The restaurant is very spacious and enough to hold more than 100 people comfortably at once.
