Naturally tucked under a huge shady tree, this store had served tourists and penangites of all races for the past 45 years. Today, the store is joint-managed by M. Chelliah (45) with his younger brother, M. Gunasegaran (30).

The secret of this record lies in these carefully prepared Indian delicacy using only the finest herbs and spices imported all the way from India. This unique store also caters all type of hot and cold beverages. Among some of the many local favourites are the tosei, chapati, puree, chicken curry, vegetable curry, nasi lemak and not forgetting the all time famous teh tarik.

    When Interviewed, M. Gunasegaran said they try the hardest they can to please every patron they get everyday. It is because they believe that if it weren't for the patrons, this store wouldn't be here today. To support this point, he and his brother hired a few extra workers to help them run the store.
